“Most of the time, I fucking hate life. Most of the time life is a flatline fucking existential nightmare for me, and I fucking hate it and I wanna check out all the time, there you go, now you know the truth. But, the thing that keeps me here, is knowing that Life will go ‘haha, you wimped out, you couldnt handle me’. And so what I seek to do, is make Life run for it’s life. I wanna be a pain in Life’s ass. I want Life to celebrate the day I die. I want Life to finally be able to get a breather once I’m dead.” —Henry Rollins (via lovelessramblings)
“I think one of the most universal human experiences is feeling alone. You’d never know it, but there’s most likely tons of people feeling the exact same way. Maybe because you’re feeling abandoned. Maybe because you realize that you aren’t as self-sufficient as you thought. Maybe because you know you should’ve handled something differently. Or maybe because you aren’t as good as you thought you were. Either way, when you hit that low point, you have a choice. You can either wallow in self-pity…Or you can suck it up. It’s your call.” —[Scrubs] (via bhtw)
If the fatosphere on tumblr were to actually promote unhealthy lifestyles, we would not be blogging pictures of bodies to normalize them, or calling people to accept the way they are and telling them they have a right to be healthy and happy as they are. We would be blogging pictures of thin people and saying how disgusting and unhealthy they are, instilling fear and self hate among those body types, giving them a reason to desperately change with disordered eating or worse. We would do and say what we could to make them hate themselves so much they actually believe they must be hidden and invisible. That is what promoting an unhealthy lifestyle looks like.
“Men have called me a man-hater, a feminazi, frigid, a bitch… but in my mind it always translates as, ‘You don’t need me to validate your existence, and that scares me.’” —HBI Member, Kim (via safercampus)
